Homework Policy

All assignments are to be handed in on time. Assignments for preplanned absences are due prior to the absence or the day the student returns (unless other arrangements are made with the teachers).  When absent, it is the student's responsibility to obtain their make-up work either from eboard or the teacher's assignment book.  For each day absent because of illness, students will have two days in which to make up missing work.  Work handed in beyond the specified time will only have a maximum score of 50% of the original score.  Assignments can also be viewed on the internet by going to www.eboard.com, and using team72 for both the "go" command and the password.

Incomplete/Late Work

  • Homework and assignments must be completed and handed in on time, but late work will be accepted for significantly reduces credit, typically 50%

  • Scores in the grade book will be coded to indicate late work with .1 following the points earned, and redone work with .2 showing recovery efforts.

  • According to district policy, a student who is absent will have two days for each day absent, not to exceed a total of six days, to complete and hand in missed work without penalty.

District Grading Scale

      A  100-93%

     B   92-85%

     C   84-76%

     D   75-65%

     F   64% or below

Classroom Management Policy

If a student is Tardy (T), does not have the necessary Materials (M), Behaves (B) in an inappropriate manner or possesses Gum (G) or candy, he/she will be asked to sign the Zebra Book.

After a student has signed the Zebra Book five (5) times in a quarter, he/she will be assigned team detention.

If a student signs the Zebra Book an additional five (5) times, during that same quarter, the student will serve a second team detention.

In the event that a student signs an additional five (5) times, for a total of fifteen times in a single quarter, the team will meet to determine consequences that will encourage more responsible behavior and appropriate choices.

    Parent View

Many of you have used Parent View to see student grades, check for missing assignments, and view individual assignment scores.  We hope you will access it again this year and check it often.  If you can't remember your identification number, contact the office.  Team members update Parent View every two weeks throughout the year.  The address is https://www.sf.k12.sd.us/parentview/login.php, or just gain access through the Sioux Falls Public School District website link at www.sf.k12.sd.us
